He finally received his offer earlier in the week and went public today. Stephen Shimko has an ideal QB frame and a big arm, but accuracy issues have so far kept him from offers. Ships are tight, but there were no QBs in last year's class, and three extra ships have opened up in the past month due to injuries.
Needless to say, this closes the door on any other QB recruits this year. Casey Kelly is likely to be a first-round pick in the next MLB draft, and Star Jackson is headed to Bama. Demetrius Richardson is likely a LB in college, and Jeff Legree never had a written offer.
