Knights pick up 2 commits
'Over the weekend, Rutgers hosted several prospects for the class of 2008. Among them, two new commitments emerged, and several old commits stopped in to check out the banks.
The two new commits were Morgan Carter of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Marquise Hamm of new Brunswick, New Jersey.
Carter is an impressive student, with a 4.0 GPA at C.D. Hylton High School, and an SAT score of 1200. On the field, he is a 6'3", 195 lb wide receiver prospect. He is not the fastest player, and could possibly be asked to gain some weight and play tight end. He is ranked as a 3-star prospect by Rivals.com and is ranked as the 43rd overall athlete prospect in the country.
Marquise Ham is a 2 star DE prospect with excellent size (6'4", 220 lbs) and great speed for a DL (4.7 40 yard dash). According to Scout.com, he is a 3 star prospect, and the #57 DE prospect in the nation.
Among the other recruits to visit were verbal commits Art Forst (4 star OL), Eric Legrand (3 star MLB), Scott Vallone (4 star DE), Timothy Wright (3 star WR), Marvin Booker (2 star ATH), and Stephen Shimko (2 star QB).
Other names who visited this weekend that could soon commit include Brandon Smith (4 star S from New Brunswick) and Wayne Warren (3 star QB from Salisbury, MD).
