Interceptions, fumble recoveries highlight Rutgers' day
On a third and five at the South Florida 18, Jason McCourty intercepted a pass at the 30 and returned it for his first touchdown of the season to give Rutgers a 14-3 lead.
TURNING POINT
With South Florida driving while trailing 28-16 in the third quarter, defensive back David Rowe stripped the ball on a pass reception in Rutgers territory, which was recovered by Jason McCourty. Rutgers went on to score a touchdown and put the game away.
THUMBS UP
Defensive tackle Pete Tverdov recovered a fumble and tipped a pass that led to an interception by George Johnson. He had three tips in the game.

Kicker Teddy Dellaganna booted two kickoffs out of bounds, thus twice setting up USF on the 40 yard-line. Another kickoff came down on the 19 and was returned another 19 yards.
